Industry Leader - Manufacturing (Salesforce)

Location: Remote, United States

We’re looking for a hands-on Industry leader to own, scale, and expand Thunder’s Manufacturing practice (MFG) within the Salesforce ecosystem. This is abuild and grow opportunity, as our next driven leader will help integrate our Industry-focused approach and take our success to the next level.

As an Industry Leader, you’ll drive revenue, ensure project success and margin, and work towards full P&L leadership as the team scales. You bring strong Salesforce and MFG industry knowledge, the ability to own deals from end to end, and a magnetic presence that collaborates closely with internal teams and Salesforce leadership to drive growth.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a high-performing Manufacturing team from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for developing the GTM strategy, deepening our market presence, and ensuring Thunder stays at the forefront of digital transformation, automation, and customer experience in the Manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

Industry Strategy + Growth

  • Serve as Thunder’s Manufacturing SME and a trusted advisor to Salesforce AEs, RVPs, and internal teams
  • Own and drive revenue targets for the Manufacturing practice, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
  • Build and maintain credibility with Salesforce teams and clients through expertise, delivery excellence, and leadership
  • Partner with Thunder’s Sales team to support deals, shape proposals, and own industry-specific pipeline forecasts
  • Act as a key point of contact for Salesforce co-sell opportunities and industry-specific go-to-market efforts

Delivery + Client Success

  • Own revenue, project margins, and delivery success for your Industry’s book of business
  • Oversee the success of Salesforce projects under your leadership, ensuring delivery quality, margin protection, and client satisfaction
  • Achieve utilization and revenue targets while delivering client outcomes that fuel future growth
  • Serve as an executive sponsor or delivery lead on initial projects
  • Start as an Individual Contributor while building the foundation of the Manufacturing vertical
  • Support hiring, mentorship, and career growth as the team expands
  • Help define content strategy, thought leadership initiatives, and industry events
  • Help identify and recruit top talent aligned to Manufacturing growth plans
  • Help drive strategic planning and practice development for the Manufacturing vertical in partnership with Sales, Delivery, and Executive Leadership

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of consulting, delivery leadership, or program management experience, with significant focus on the Manufacturing industry
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce solutions, customer lifecycle, and go-to-market motions within the Manufacturing sector
  • Previous experience at a Salesforce partner, systems integrator, or industry-side leader (e.g., at a Manufacturing company leveraging Salesforce) is highly valued
  • Proven ability to own and surpass revenue targets, manage project margins, and drive successful Salesforce project delivery
  • Strong, trusted relationships with Salesforce teams (AEs, RVPs) and demonstrated credibility within Manufacturing
  • Experience partnering with Salesforce on co-sell motions, account growth, and strategic industry initiatives
  • Background in building or scaling teams, mentoring talent, and supporting practice development efforts
  • Ambition to grow into a Partner-level leadership role, with eventual P&L responsibility as the team scales
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Consultant, or Architect tracks) are preferred
  • Ability to lead hands-on while building strategy in a remote, fast-paced environment
