Best Buy is seeking a Sr. Manager, Decision Science - Supply Chain Analytics to embed data-driven decision-making across the supply chain. You will own prioritization, guide execution, and deploy analytics solutions with measurable impact.

Hybrid role on-site Mon-Thu at Best Buy corporate in Richfield, MN, with Friday remote work. Lead analytics teams, partner with stakeholders, and shape the strategy for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to improve supply chain outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a quantitative, supply chain, or retail field.
• 3+ years applying SQL, Python, R and using visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• 2+ years leading analytics professionals/teams.

As a Sr. Manager, Decision Science - Supply Chain Analytics within the Best Buy Digital, Analytics, and Technology organization, you will partner cross-functionally to embed data-driven decision-making into the business and deliver high-impact analytic solutions that drive strategic and operational outcomes across the supply chain organization. In this role, you will leverage business context and data to identify new solution opportunities, shape the team’s strategy, own work prioritization, drive development and guide technical execution, deploy solutions and measure impact. The team seeks a candidate with extensive background in problem framing and application of analytic techniques to solve business problems with measurable impact.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of individual contributors.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, understand business challenges and identify opportunities where analytic solutions can drive improved business outcomes.
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop their requests into well-structured outcome-based engagements with clear analytic solution scope.
• Adapt to new domains and unfamiliar business challenges, quickly building context and developing effective data-driven solutions.
• Oversee the design, development and deployment of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to aide in continuous improvement of Best Buy’s supply chain.
• Partner cross functionally with supply chain, technology, data operations and ML ops leaders to co-create solutions that deliver impact on operations.
• Define success metrics and determine measurement criteria for new capabilities and monitor the performance of established strategies and operations consistently.
• Effectively communicate with diverse audiences – including technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership – through both written and verbal channels.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, management, supply chain) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a quantitative, supply chain, or retail field.
• 3+ years of experience applying SQL, Python, R or similar tool and using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau.
• 2+ years of experience of leading analytics professionals/teams, directly or indirectly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field or business field.
• Exposure to on-prem and cloud-based analytics management.
• Exposure to agile or sprint-based work environment.
• Supply chain domain experience, especially in logistics, transportation or warehouse operations.
• Prior experience in retail.
