DHL eCommerce is seeking a Senior Manager, DC Air Network Operations, a remote position based in the United States. Senior Manager, DC Air Network Operations

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager DC Air Network Operations is responsible for the performance, optimization, and strategic development of the DHL eCommerce air network. This role leads network planning and execution to support Transportation Department goals while managing key airline, carrier, and delivery provider relationships.

The successful candidate will oversee air network operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize cost and service performance, and lead a team of Analysts, Specialists, and/or Representatives responsible for day-to-day network management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor, analyze, and report on air network performance metrics, including transit times, tracking visibility, capacity, and service levels.
• Develop and execute shipment routing plans aligned with business forecasts and operational requirements.
• Identify and resolve network performance issues while proactively communicating impacts and solutions to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Source, negotiate, and manage airline, airfreight, transportation, and delivery partners to achieve the optimal balance between service and cost.
• Monitor air capacity and secure additional capacity to support evolving business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transit times, reliability, visibility, and customer experience.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities across transportation, handling, delivery, and distribution operations.
• Standardize and streamline operational processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Evaluate and develop new network strategies, routing options, and service enhancements.
• Build relationships with industry experts and operational partners to stay informed on regulatory requirements, customs clearance options, and market best practices.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of transportation professionals.
• Provide operational and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of logistics industry experience, preferably in an air cargo or eCommerce environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience within logistics or transportation operations.
• Project management experience, including international projects and cross‑functional collaboration with multinational teams.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
• Regular sitting at a workstation for 25% to 75% of the work shift.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Domestic travel may be required (up to 25%).

$108,750-$145,000 = CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, KS, KY, MI, MN, NC, NV, OR, PA, TX, UT, VA, WI

$113,700-$151,600 = DE, IL, MD, RI, WA

$118,725-$158,300 = CA, MA, NJ, NY
