Job summary

Vibracoustic USA Inc. seeks a Sr. Manager of Customs & Trade Compliance to lead the US/MX/BR team and advance our global compliance program. You will drive risk mitigation, regulatory adherence, and cost-saving initiatives across multiple regions.

The role requires automotive customs expertise, 5+ years in a similar role, and hands-on guidance for export controls, FTAs, and broker management within a hybrid work environment in Farmington Hills, MI.

Qualifications

• Automotive customs experience is required.
• In-depth knowledge of US/MX/BR customs regulations.
• Proficiency with CBP portals and related systems.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead US/MX/BR Customs Team and report to Global Head.
• Develop and manage the Customs & Trade Compliance program to mitigate risk.
• Ensure IMMEX compliance in Mexico.
• Advise on cost-reduction through tariffs and trade programs.
• Support global project rollouts (Export Controls, FTAs).
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement actions.
• Advise on complex supply chains and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate audits and broker relationships.

Sr. Manager, Customs & Trade Compliance

Responsibilities

• Leading the US / MX / BR Customs Team and Reporting to Global Head
• Management and further development of the Customs & Trade Compliance program in the US, MX and BR for the purpose of mitigating risk to the company. (Including classifications, valuations, training program, manuals, export controls, broker strategy, other customs and foreign trade topics)
• Ensure compliance with IMMEX program in Mexico
• Strategic support and advice to mitigate customs costs (e.g. section 301 tariffs, etc.)
• Support in roll out of global projects (Export Controls, Free Trade Agreements, etc.)
• Review of legal changes and implementation
• Advise on complex supply chains / strategic decisions
• Support of external and internal customs audits and self-assessments Management of stakeholders and customs brokers

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or job-related field from an accredited institution.
• Automotive customs experience.
• Work experience 5 years minimum in similar role.
• Manufacturing, Purchasing, Legal, Logistics experience a plus.
• In depth knowledge of US / MX / BR Customs and Border Protection Regulations
• Working knowledge of CBP portals and website.
