FIS is seeking a Sr. Manager, BPS Tax in Milwaukee to lead client tax reporting services and implement tax reporting initiatives across jurisdictions. You will oversee teams delivering accurate tax outputs, drive governance, and partner with executives to align strategies with client commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience leading tax reporting, tax information reporting, retirement tax reporting, or financial services operations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing managers, technical professionals, and multifunctional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, local, and applicable international tax reporting requirements.
  • Experience leading large-scale client implementations, conversions, or operational transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, implement operational plans, and deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills in complex regulatory environments.
  • Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience managing priorities, budgets, service levels, and performance metrics in a client-focused organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementations, conversions, product enhancements, and client initiatives.
  • Establish performance goals, mentor leaders, and individual contributors, and build a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Manage operational budgets, client commitments, and financial objectives while maintaining service excellence.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, compliance, and client risks through proactive planning and effective governance.

About The Role

As a Sr. Manager, BPS Tax, you will lead client tax reporting services, tax information reporting operations, and implementation initiatives that support complex financial services and retirement tax reporting programs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fiduciary tax reporting, trust tax reporting, retirement reporting, or financial institution tax operations
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CTP, PMP, or equivalent industry credential
  • Experience supporting multiple legal entities and tax jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of tax automation, reporting technologies, and operational process optimization methodologies
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and large client portfolios
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulatory environments and compliance frameworks

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $108,230.00 - $184,000.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
