Sr. Manager/Associate Director, Strategy and Partnerships

Sr. Manager/Associate Director, Strategy and Partnerships

As a key member of the Strategy and Corporate Development team, you will work directly with our executives and other team leaders to problem-solve, co-create, and implement corporate strategies and drive financial operations for Antheia. This includes, but is not limited to, developing long-term corporate strategies, identifying new business opportunities, facilitating corporate initiatives, and supporting business operations. The employeeis a self-driven learner in a fast-paced working environment, able to do strategic thinking and decision-making in an 80-20 approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team to develop strategic assessment of future growth initiatives including new business opportunities, product initiatives, and global markets evaluation by conducting market research independently to drive analyses
  • Drive business-oriented conversations with clarity of high-level explanation of our technology with internal and external partners/stakeholders
  • Conduct and coordinate business analysis, including market prioritization, business valuation and sizing, sensitivity analysis, to support business decisions
  • Integrate and summarize market information; manage the development of the business case and overall assessment of the transaction/partnerships
  • Provide expert understanding of market trends and analytics that support the Company’s technology; act as a thought-partner to provide commercial/market insights to our technical teams
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management regarding the status, progress, and key risks with respect to corporate initiatives
  • MS or Ph.D. degree with at least 6 - 8 years of experience in corporate strategy and/or partnership development; MBA degree or other advanced degree (e.g., JD) is also preferred
  • Technical backgrounds in engineering, biology, chemistry or similar STEM fields are strongly preferred
  • Direct experience as bench RAs or scientists in the biotech industry, and/or experience with investment banking, equity research, and/or management consulting firms or with similar roles in startups is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and analytical skills in all aspects of strategy and corporate development including market analysis, business & financial planning, and licensing/deal-related business operations
  • Results-oriented strategic thinking, clear communication, and teamwork/collaboration skills to facilitate and support executive decision-making and track corporate initiatives
  • Strong understanding of corporate development and business operations cycle in the start-up world is a huge plus.
  • Passionate about learning and building lasting relationships to help people solve complex challenges
