Position: Sr Manager App Integration Engineer (located in Raritan, NJ).
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership – SC Transformational Programs: Provide end-to-end technical leadership for enterprise integrations supporting Supply Chain Transformational programs, from requirements and solution design through development, testing, deployment and production readiness. Partner with program, architecture, business process, SAP and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust integration solutions. Drive technical decisions across complex integration dependencies and ensure solutions conform to established integration architecture and engineering standards. Lead technical discussions, design reviews, issue resolution and production-readiness activities. Identify opportunities to simplify integration architecture, standardize solutions and improve reuse.
- Deep SAP BTP Integration Expertise: Serve as a deep technical SME for SAP BTP Integration Suite, with particular strength in SAP Cloud Integration/iFlows. Design and guide integration patterns covering APIs, events, messaging, file-based integration and application-to-application integration. Establish and promote reusable patterns, frameworks, templates and engineering standards. Provide technical guidance in areas such as error handling, security, configuration, deployment, monitoring, observability and integration lifecycle management. Troubleshoot complex integration and performance issues and guide teams toward sustainable root-cause solutions. Help establish engineering practices that improve quality, consistency and speed.
- AI Fluency & Engineering Innovation: Apply AI and GenAI capabilities across the integration SDLC, looking beyond traditional development approaches. Identify opportunities for AI-assisted integration development, code quality, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, knowledge management and deployment/cutover. Experiment rapidly with emerging AI capabilities and determine where they can deliver measurable engineering or business value. Champion responsible adoption of AI while maintaining appropriate architecture, security and engineering controls. Help integration engineers build AI fluency and adopt AI-enabled ways of working.
- Technical Curiosity & Continuous Learning: Demonstrate strong intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn technologies beyond SAP BTP. Continuously explore emerging integration, API, event-driven, cloud and AI technologies. Develop an understanding of the business processes behind the integrations, not simply the technical interfaces. Challenge existing approaches and bring forward pragmatic opportunities for simplification, automation and modernization. Encourage experimentation and continuous learning across the engineering organization.
- Team & Engineering Leadership: Technically lead distributed engineering teams and external delivery partners. Mentor engineers and develop deeper SAP BTP, integration architecture and AI engineering capabilities within the team. Establish clear technical direction while empowering engineers to solve problems independently. Coordinate across architecture, platform, product, program and supplier teams. Create a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Communication & Stakeholder Leadership: Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Lead architecture and technical design discussions and present recommendations with clear rationale, risks and trade-offs. Build trusted relationships with business, technology, program and architecture stakeholders. Escalate risks early and communicate technical decisions, dependencies and issues concisely. Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills.
