Job Summary: The APAC Channel Manager will be an integral member of Vector Laboratories’ functional leadership team and contribute to Vector’s collaborative, accountable, results-driven culture. They will drive the channel strategy with various APAC partners and directly engage with key accounts. The ideal candidate will also introduce, maintain, and expand relationships between channel partners and key customers and will represent the entire range of company products and services. The APAC Channel Manager will work closely with other functional leaders to ensure timelines, deliverables, and sales goals are aligned and strategic objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a sales and marketing driver for the Vector Laboratories business to achieve revenue targets and increase market share with the distributors in the APAC region.
- Evaluate and optimize APAC channel management by building a distributor network.
- Develop & own high level, strategic relationships with key OEM, diagnostic, life science, and pharmaceutical accounts.
- Build deep knowledge of territory and clients to enable accurate assessment of opportunities and precise sales forecasts.
- Engage Voice of Customer (VOC) projects to develop marketing strategies to support core and custom products sales objectives.
- Contribute to effective educational and marketing campaigns to support expansion of both brand and product awareness in the custom, OEM, and reagent sectors.
- Utilize appropriate internal resources to address client issues and move revenue opportunities forward.
- Professionally and proactively communicate with external and internal stakeholders.
- Work with internal teams to create customer-facing documents (contract agreements, supply agreements, etc.) of the highest professional level and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders and critical customers to support forecasted revenue growth, new product introduction and obsolescence, and alignment on company strategy and priorities.
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key leadership personnel with select channel partners.
- Collaborate with management to perform feasibility assessments and to convert opportunities into custom project proposals; develop proposals and manage the execution of contract agreements.
- Using CRM to document customer meetings and provide accurate forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue streams to management.
Job Qualifications (Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills):
- Degree in a life sciences discipline; Advanced degree in life sciences and MBA helpful. At least 8 years’ experience in international sales, business development, or distribution management in the life sciences or biomedical field.
- Knowledge of immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, protein purification, bioconjugation, and primary antibodies strongly preferred.
- Experience as a cross-functional leader with demonstrated results in creating value across operations and achieving strategic imperatives.
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives within established timelines.
- Experience with CRM systems and databases including direct quoting; Sales Force.com expertise strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated influencer, including cross-functionally and with senior leaders.
- Demonstrated skills in building and expanding client and partner relationships, strong negotiation and forecasting skills, strategic thinker; knows how to get results through others, solid presentation and sales skills, ability to travel up to 25%.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000.00-$160,000.00. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
