VectorBuilder, a rapidly growing biotechnology company in Chicago, seeks a Scientific Product Manager to develop world-class services and products for a diverse scientific audience.

You will liaise with marketing, sales, R&D, and support teams to launch and maintain offerings, craft scientifically accurate content, and translate complex biology for both experts and non-experts. The role emphasizes data-driven content and product strategy.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) or Master's with extensive biology research.
• Minimum 3 years of scientific writing experience in life sciences.
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with marketing, sales, technical support, and R&D to launch and maintain products.
• Generate high-quality, scientifically accurate content (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, product descriptions).
• Provide training to sales/marketing on product capabilities and conduct market research.
• Translate complex scientific concepts for expert and non-expert audiences.
• Use data insights to guide content creation and product development.
• Perform related duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with marketing, sales, technical support, and R&D staff to launch and maintain products and services.
• Generate high-quality, scientifically accurate content, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, case studies, and product descriptions.
• Provide training to sales and marketing staff on product capabilities and conduct scientific market research.
• Translate complex scientific concepts into accessible and engaging content for both expert and non-expert audiences.
• Use data insights to direct content creation and product development that aligns with VectorBuilder's target audience and marketing goals.
• Related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) in the field of molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, or closely related research area, or Master's degree with extensive research experience in biology.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience writing scientific manuscripts or other content in life sciences, preferably with experience in vector cloning, recombinant viruses, and/or library screening.
• Drive and passion for translational research in biotech.
• Exceptional scientific writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Salary Range:$60,000-$90,000 per year

This is a full-time office-based opportunity. Candidates must be able to work in person during regular business hours for this role.
