Sr Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

The Sr. Maintenance Technician ensures equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair of all equipment failures. The Sr. Maintenance Technician shares knowledge of all production equipment with the maintenance team and Operators. Acts as a subject matter expert in areas such as injection molding, blow molding, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers. Performs troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment, including chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis, and other water filtration systems. Collaborates with team members and management to resolve mechanical issues and develops best practices aligned with Niagara's maintenance strategies.

Essential Functions

• Enforce safety and good manufacturing practices plant-wide.
• Train and lead Operators, Mechanics, and Supervisors on technical procedures.
• Develop and execute projects for continuous improvement, upgrades, and problem resolution.
• Identify machine problems quickly to minimize downtime, conducting root cause analysis.
• Partner with other technicians to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Use software systems to analyze issues and improve throughput performance.
• Overhaul equipment during planned downtime to restore to like-new condition.
• Transfer knowledge to team members for operating and troubleshooting bottling and injection equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
• 6+ years in the specific maintenance position.
• 4+ years managing people/projects.

Additional skills include effective communication, reading schematics, and proficiency with shop and measuring equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years in maintenance manufacturing environment.
• Experience with specific packaging and bottling equipment.
• Leadership experience and process improvement skills.

Core Competencies

Focus on safety, innovation, problem-solving, and personal growth aligned with Niagara's values.

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
• Associate's Degree preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $38.00 - $54.15 per hour. Benefits information here.
