Job summary

Batchline Solutions, at our Westampton, NJ facility, seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician to provide electrical and mechanical support for production. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and lead repairs on industrial food processing equipment.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing experience, cross-functional collaboration, and PLC/electrical knowledge. Expect work in refrigerated environments with varying shifts; GMP and safety training are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years production manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Intermediate computer knowledge (i.e. Outlook, Gmail and other tools).
• Food safety knowledge, Welding skills, Pneumatic systems, Hydraulic systems, Plumbing skills, Basic Refrigeration knowledge, Basic Boiler operation and controls knowledge.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, Electrical and Mechanical systems.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (-9º-42º Fahrenheit) and in a dark environment.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and understand complex machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions in machinery and equipment independently.
• Perform preventive, predictive and planned maintenance of mechanical and utilities equipment.
• Fabricate and install new equipment and enhance existing equipment through process improvements/upgrades.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Manager with coordination of work orders.
• Assist in training of mechanic/maintenance staff on all production equipment (PM, Set-Up, Cleaning and Documentation).
• Perform metal repair and welding.
• Provide technical support to keep production processes running and troubleshoot systems as needed.
• Perform plumbing and electrical work as required.
• Complete routine paperwork and maintain CMMS records.

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for the production plant. This role has wide ranging responsibilities; electrical and mechanical system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and general maintenance. Primary responsibilities will include assembling, installing, troubleshooting and repairing all electrical and mechanical systems of industrial food process machinery and equipment and generating service reports.
