As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will process and program machined components supporting assembly of flight hardware for various spaceflight systems. Responsibilities
  1. Perform all tasks safely and responsibly.
  2. Read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
  3. Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  4. Operate precision tools, machinery such as CNC lathes, mills, 5-axis, and various cutting tools.
  5. Fabricate and shape parts from metal, plastics, and composites.
  6. Safely select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
  7. Recognize and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
  8. Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery.
  9. Evaluate and improve experimental procedures for CNC setup efficiency.
  10. Track parts and labor in an MRP system.
  11. Read and understand CNC code and make minor program adjustments.
  12. Load CNC programs and run initial tests.
  13. Adjust speeds and feeds for optimal cutting conditions.
  14. Comply with all quality, safety, and company policies.
Qualifications
  1. Seven years of related CNC turning experience.
  2. Four years of experience with CNC machines.
  3. Two years of experience with multi-axis machines.
  4. Two years of programming experience with UG, MasterCam, or similar software.
  5. Full understanding of manual machine operation.
  6. High school diploma or GED, trade school degree, or 10 years of relevant experience.
  7. GD&T knowledge and understanding.
  8. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Basic mathematical skills for practical calculations.
  10. Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  11. Ability to lift 50 lbs, operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and stand for long periods.
  12. Proficiency in computer skills.
  13. Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylum status).
