Job summary

Deceuninck North America is seeking a Sr. Machinist to join our high‑performing team. The role involves manufacturing components of extrusion tooling and supporting other departments with machining work, plus assisting Die Makers in tooling assembly and tuning.

You will operate non‑CNC machine tools, handle die/sizer duties, and train junior machinists, contributing to a positive, team‑oriented culture with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient at operating and trouble-shooting all Machines in the Toolroom.
• Ability to solve complex problems by utilizing fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, statistics, and geometry.
• College or trade school (preferred)
• Preferred formal machine trades training.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools including lathes, mills, drills, grinders and saws (Non- CNC).
• Die and Sizer work as assigned by Die Makers.
• Machine replacement parts for Production Maintenance.
• Sharpen grinder blades for PVC grinders used by compounding.
• Maintenance and repair work on vacuum mist tanks, calibrators and extruders.
• Maintenance and repair work on extrusion line notchers.
• Secondary operations on rails and sizer boxes machined by the CNC group.
• Training and assigning work to junior machinists and machinists’ helpers.
