Job summary

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Logistician to provide general IPS support for PMS-317, overseeing life cycle management of weapon systems and equipment. The role emphasizes developing and enforcing logistics plans, program analyses, and acquisition documentation for lifecycle support.

The ideal candidate has extensive DoD life cycle experience, knowledge of Navy supply support codes, and familiarity with DoD acquisition and sustainment practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing logistics planning documents, system analyses, and budget planning documentation.
• Prepare PSM planning and acquisition documents per DoD 5000.02 for lifecycle support.
• Coordinate IPS activities, ILSMT meetings, program reviews, and logistics briefs; maintain schedules and action items.
• Support ILS analyses to ensure supportability of product integration.
• Plan, develop, implement, integrate, and monitor ILS processes and strategies.
• Support integration of logistics activities across development, design, production, and lifecycle support.
• Plan and execute Program Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA).
• Conduct research on alternative support strategies and identify high cost equipment by APL, AEL, and EIC.
• Prepare monthly MBPS-based metrics briefs; manage configuration data in the designated system.
• Prepare ACRs/AERs for Program Office approval; identify process improvements and new business opportunities.

Job description

Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Senior Logistician to providegeneral integrated product support (IPS) to PMS-317, who is responsible for a portfolio of weapon systems and capabilities under PEO Ships. The ideal candidate has significant experience with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.

• Assist in the preparation of logistics planning documents including system analyses, requirement analyses, financial/budget planning documentation, and application analyses.
• Prepare Product Support Management (PSM) planning and acquisition documentation required and in accordance with latest DoD 5000.02 series from program inception for the life cycle support and maintenance of the class.
• Assist in planning, execution, coordination, integration, and oversight of all IPS activities and projects to include, but not limited to Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings, program reviews, logistics briefs, maintenance of calendars for scheduling, tracking program logistics-related events, and for assigning recurring and emergent tasks and action items.
• Assist with conducting and reviewing ILS analyses to ensure supportability product integration
• Assist in the planning, identification, development, implementation, integration, and monitoring of ILS processes and strategies.
• Support the integration of all logistics activities related to the development, design, production, and Life Cycle support for assigned product lines to ensure ILS program integration and success.
• Assist in the planning, coordination, execution, and issue resolution for Program Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA).
• Conduct research relative to alternative support strategies and provide reports that identify high cost equipment by Allowance Parts List (APL), Allowance Equipage List (AEL) and Equipment Identification Code (EIC).
• Prepare, maintain, and produce monthly metrics briefs utilizing Model Based Product Support (MBPS), the designated government Configuration Data Management System.
• Prepare Allowance Change Request (ACRs) / Allowance Exception Request (AERs) for Program Office approval
• Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements and best practices.
• Identify new business opportunities on the program and nurture relationships for existing and new work in the future.

Skills/Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses expertise and experience in DoD weapon system life cycle management. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment and understand Navy supply support codes and product support management products.
• Demonstrated understanding of DoD program office acquisition/sustainment support.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (required) in a supply chain or logistics discipline (preferred).
• Relevant experience related to acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery and final disposal of resources
• Senior 10 years of relevant professional experience in integrated logistics support.

The projected compensation range for this position is $145,000.00 to $165,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
