Job summary

Labcorp in Holyoke, MA, is seeking a Senior Reference Test Clerk. The role supports reference testing labs, clients, and patients, handling specimen prep, transcription, and data entry to ensure accurate reporting and timely service.

The position runs Monday–Friday with rotating weekends (4am–12:30pm), requiring careful attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Act a liaison between the reference testing labs, clients, and patients
• Resolve internal & external Customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications
• Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner
• Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions
• Provide customer education and information as needed
• Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies
• Transcribe reports from reference labs into Labcorp systems
• Utilize various logistics providers to ship to multiple locations around the country.
• Prepare & triage specimens for analysis
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.

Labcorp is seeking a Senior Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Holyoke, MA.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday and rotating weekends (4am - 12:30pm)

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

Pay Range

$20.75-$24.75/hr. + Shift Differential

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
