Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle 19c database integration.
• Experience with SAP BI reporting frameworks.
• Experience with secure coding practices for government compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute upgrades across the tech stack: Solr with Zookeeper, Tomcat, Directory Studio, and Java/Python components on Windows VMware.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to minimize disruption during upgrades.
• Core Development & Modernization: upgrade enterprise Java applications, develop Java/Python components, modernize legacy code, apply secure coding.
• Infrastructure & Integration: upgrade Solr clusters, migrate Solr data, manage Tomcat configurations, integrate with Oracle 19c, Directory Studio, and SAP BI.
• Collaboration & Documentation: document designs, upgrade procedures, configurations, and participate in code reviews.

Some of your day-to-day activities include but are not limited to:

• You will be responsible for planning and executing upgrades across our technology stack, including Apache Solr with Zookeeper, Apache Tomcat, Apache Directory Studio, and Java/Python components running on Windows-based VMware infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c database integration, SAP Business Intelligence reporting frameworks, secure coding practices, and upgrading and migrating Solr index data is essential. Experience with PrimeFaces UI framework is a plus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders—to ensure seamless upgrades with minimal operational disruption.
• Position Responsibilities:
• Core Development & Modernization:
  • Plan and execute technology stack upgrades for enterprise Java applications in secure government environments.
  • Develop and maintain Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
  • Modernize legacy application code to current standards and best practices.
  • Implement secure coding practices in compliance with government security requirements.
• Infrastructure & Integration:
  • Upgrade Apache Solr clusters with Zookeeper coordination.
  • Migrate and optimize Solr index data during version upgrades.
  • Manage Apache Tomcat application server configurations and deployments.
  • Integrate applications with Oracle 19c database systems.
  • Work with Apache Directory Studio for directory services integration.
  • Support SAP Business Intelligence reporting framework integrations.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholder teams.
  • Ensure minimal operational disruption during system upgrades.
  • Document technical designs, upgrade procedures, and system configurations.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is: 140,000-170,000
