Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development life cycle experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders, analysts, PMs, architects and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and support cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Apply domain-driven design, TDD, and modern software engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and identify root causes.
• Develop technical specifications, estimates, and solution designs.
• Research new technologies to improve performance, scalability, and security.
• Maintain reusable, secure code following coding standards and best practices.
• Partner with architects to ensure scalable, long-term solutions.
• Participate in the full SDLC from design through deployment and support.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-scale applications and services. This role requires a strong hands-on developer with deep experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Azure Cloud, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. The ideal candidate brings significant experience developing large-scale applications in production environments and can contribute to technical design, troubleshooting, architecture decisions, and development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders, business analysts, project managers, architects, technical leads, developers, and internal customers to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications, services, and platforms using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and support cloud-based applications and services within Microsoft Azure.
• Apply domain-driven design, test-driven development, and modern software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex application and production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, requirements, estimates, and solution designs.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve application performance, scalability, security, and development processes.
• Develop and maintain reusable, scalable, and secure code while following established coding standards and best practices.
• Partner closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure solutions support long-term enterprise growth and scalability.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of Software Development Life Cycle experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with strong exposure to modern development practices and open-source technologies.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java.
• Strong experience developing applications and APIs using Spring Boot.
• Experience developing and deploying applications within Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, design patterns, testing, and development best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
