At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, forward-thinking engineering teams generate collective insight and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality results. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Java Dev w/ AWS to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

• Designing and developing APIs.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Knowledge in Angular, Java 8/java 11/Java17, Spring boot and microservices.
• Java (required) Knowledge of RESTful API patterns and Micro services
• Knowledge of OAuth2 security
• Solid knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocol and TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of UI Skills- Angular 8+ version, Java script, HTML, CSS, and bootstrap
• Familiarity with Linux operating system (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred).
• Familiarity with common software development tools – editors, build systems, Git, BitBucket
• Team management and support.

• Experience in full lifecycle software development, SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, testing and value of metrics and incremental delivery.

• Coordinate & work with various stakeholders from technology & business teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related major.
• Experience of Full stack technologies: Angular, Java, Spring & SpringBoot, Microservices, JPA and/or design techniques and tools and Cloud -Azure/AWS
• Experience in full lifecycle software
• Experience working in Agile projects
• Associate should write unit test cases and use cases and complete Unit testing.
• Associate should assist junior member if required & provide support to QA and UAT test team
• Associate should be flexible to support Prod and work on critical issues from production.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422K – $114,000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
