What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and own the overarching marketing strategy for client SaaS products and Moonello's own marketing initiatives.
- Plan, execute, and manage comprehensive go-to-market strategies and launch campaigns for new SaaS products and features.
- Design and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns (including SEO, SEM, PPC, content marketing, email marketing, social media, paid media) focused on user acquisition, lead generation, and customer retention.
- Analyze marketing campaign performance, user behavior, funnel metrics, and cohort data to identify insights and drive strategic optimizations.
- Develop, implement, and refine strategies specifically focused on user engagement, product adoption, retention, and churn reduction.
- Mentor, coach, and develop marketing team members, providing guidance on strategy, execution, and professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with internal product, design, development, and external client stakeholders to ensure cohesive product messaging and market positioning.
- Define key marketing KPIs (e.g., MQLs, SQLs, conversion rates, CAC, LTV, churn rate), track progress meticulously, and report on performance and strategic recommendations to leadership and clients.
- Stay ahead of the curve on SaaS marketing best practices, competitive landscape analysis, industry trends, and emerging marketing technologies.
- Contribute to marketing budget planning and resource allocation to maximize impact.
What We're Looking For
- Must be located in Southeast Michigan
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a significant focus (3+ years strongly preferred) specifically on B2B or B2C SaaS products.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful SaaS marketing strategies, including product launches that achieved measurable business outcomes.
- Deep understanding of the SaaS customer lifecycle, key metrics (MRR, ARR, LTV, CAC, Churn Rate, Activation Rate), and growth levers specific to the SaaS model.
- Hands-on experience strategizing and overseeing various digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, Content Strategy, Email Marketing Automation, Paid Social, etc.) within a SaaS context.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience using marketing analytics and CRM platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, HubSpot, Salesforce) to derive actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful strategies for customer retention and churn reduction.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with prior experience mentoring or managing team members (formally or informally).
- Ability to translate complex product features and technical concepts into compelling value propositions and marketing messages.
- A portfolio or documented examples/case studies showcasing successful SaaS marketing campaigns, strategies, and quantifiable results you have driven.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in a digital marketing agency or consulting environment.
- Proficiency with specific marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience with product-led growth (PLG) strategies and tactics.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Experience with marketing developer tools, AI-powered SaaS, or other technically complex software products.
