Job Overview
The Sr Technical Consultant, HR IT role will partner with HR Operations and HR IT staff to support the recent migration from Kronos to Workday. The role requires expertise in business process operations, particularly related to Workday Timekeeping, Absence, and Scheduling configuration and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR Product Owner and IT Technical team to address complex business and technical issues related to Workday modules.
- Integrate stakeholder input, industry best practices, and customer research into product requirements.
- Ensure design alignment with global models and integration with other systems.
- Design, implement, and evaluate solutions using Lean principles.
- Work with application teams and third-party providers to resolve incidents and enhance knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Maintain clear communication on status, solutions, and concerns.
- Focus on Workday Timekeeping, Scheduling, and Absence modules, with experience in static scheduling preferred.
- Understand US payroll data flows and reporting requirements.
- Address open tickets by identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
- Manage change processes and security configurations within Workday.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of IT experience across multiple domains.
- 5+ years in global Workday HR implementation projects.
- 3+ years in Workday US Payroll.
- Experience with end-to-end deployment of Workday Timekeeping, Absence, and Scheduling modules, especially static scheduling.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting.
Must-Have Skills
Configuration and functional knowledge of:
- Scheduling – minimum 2+ years
- Absence – minimum 2+ years
A Bachelor's degree is required; an Associate's degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with full deployment of Workday Timekeeping, Absence, and Scheduling modules, with static scheduling expertise preferred.
- Proficiency in Workday reporting.
- Workday Configuration certification is a plus.
