Sr. IT Subject Matter Expert

Job Overview

As an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CGS, you will provide expertise in application and systems software to key stakeholders. You will analyze complex hardware, software, and telecommunication systems to define processes and procedures across departments. Your role includes assisting with and consulting on the design, development, documentation, and delivery of standard operating procedures, presentations, and training materials for diverse audiences. A successful candidate must possess extensive technical experience and demonstrate high performance in broad knowledge areas.

Skills and Attributes for Success

1. Assess and redefine procedures and standards using your expertise and best practices.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders and system users to enhance understanding of agency systems.
3. Coordinate program goals, requirements, performance analysis, and innovation projects with IT and Business experts.
4. Recommend improvements for IT systems and business ventures.
5. Develop procedures, manuals, and documentation for processes and technology needs.
6. Define upgrade or replacement strategies for information systems.
7. Support operation and maintenance of complex IT systems.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
2. 5+ years’ experience with OBIEE, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
3. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
4. Knowledge of data governance, data management, data modeling, data cleansing, data extraction and transformation, data analysis, data migration, data integration, and data mapping.
5. 7+ years of experience with PL/SQL.
6. Experience with Agile methodologies, Data Analytics tools (e.g., ADVANA), UNIX OS, Java, SFTO, and APEX is highly desired.
