OVERVIEW
The Burch Oil Company is a regional leader in the distribution of petroleum products and propane. The Company markets its products through Burch Oil, Burch Oil of Charles County and Burch Propane. The Company sells and distributes these products to residential and commercial customers throughout southern Maryland and parts of Virginia.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
This position is responsible for the installation of HVAC equipment and the supervision of an installation crew.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and install HVAC, tank and water conditioning equipment to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
- Monitor installation crew and develop training strategies.
- Evaluate the performance of staff and consult with supervisor to ensure Company standards are being met.
- Review all installation documentation associated with the job to ensure all aspects of the sale proposal are correct.
- Check to ensure all paperwork and equipment list is complete and accurate prior to installation.
- Maintain all job orders and interface with installation crew to ensure everyone has a complete understanding of scope of work to be performed.
- Keep customer and crew properly informed during installation process and strive to complete work on time without compromising quality.
- Constantly seek training and educational opportunities for staff.
- Constantly look for tools to improve and make installations more efficient.
- Attend vendor training sessions and meeting as requested.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
- Ensure proper approved uniforms for incumbent and staff meet Company standards.
- Operate Company assigned vehicle in a safe manner at all times and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Keep Company assigned vehicle clean, in good working order and maintain it according to required maintenance schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Valid Maryland driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background and drug test.
- Must maintain a current and valid Master HVAC License with the State of Maryland.
- Proficient with various types of hand-held devices.
- Able to work with various software systems as requested.
