Texas AirSystems in Lubbock, Texas is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to coordinate submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates for each HVAC project.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of project management/estimating experience in HVAC/engineering, with strong knowledge of MEP processes, CAD and construction workflows, and excellent communication with owners, architects and contractors. This role demands organization and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 7–10 years' experience in the HVAC/estimating/engineering/construction management or contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry a plus.
  • Advanced skills in selecting and delivering applied products including pricing, ordering and tracking; strong understanding of Texas AirSystems’ manufacturer product lines and systems.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high-volume projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
  • Optimize the project through stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns.
  • Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, MEP consultants and general, mechanical and electrical contractors.
  • Organize project related data for order entry.
  • Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests.
  • Read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications.
  • Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers.
  • Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet all customer’s system design, installation and maintenance expectations.
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a mentor for team members on best practices and train new team members.

The Opportunity

The Required Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree inengineering or related fieldand typically7-10yearsofexperienceas a Project Managerin the HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment; or7-10 yearsequivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting,engineeringor construction industry a plus
  • Advanced skills, knowledge and understanding with selecting and delivering applied products including pricing,orderingand tracking products; advanced understanding of assigned Texas AirSystems’ manufacturer product lines and systems
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volume projects
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Physical Demands
