Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Sr. Industrial Engineer to join our national distribution center network. You will lead labor management initiatives, standardize procedures, and drive process improvements to reduce costs and boost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering, 3+ years in industrial or process engineering within logistics, and strong data-analysis skills using Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and MS Access. Travel up to 75% and willingness to relocate within the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years in industrial/process engineering in logistics or distribution.
  • Experience with LMS/WMS and labor standards.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black) preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% and relocate within the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Standardize and document best-in-class procedures across the logistics network.
  • Lead labor management initiatives and analytics reporting.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards and LMS reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost per case.
  • Analyze performance data and ROI to close gaps and drive value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Support large-scale DC projects and network optimization efforts.
  • Design, create and maintain dashboards to track performance.
