Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Sr. Industrial Engineer to join our national distribution center network. The role focuses on labor management initiatives and designing process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in industrial systems engineering within distribution environments, with strong data analysis, KPI tracking, and cross-functional collaboration. Travel up to 75% and relocation to one of our eight DC locations may be required.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial/process engineering in logistics or distribution environments.
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
Experience with labor management systems (LMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Up to 75% travel; willingness to relocate to one of eight DC locations.

Responsibilities

Standardize and document best-in-class operating procedures across the logistics network using Lean and other process improvement principles.
Develop, implement, and maintain LMS and related analytics and reporting.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase value and reduce cost per case.
Design and maintain reports and dashboards to track KPIs and savings.
Collaborate with Operations, IT, Safety, Quality, and Finance to support initiatives.
Support DC expansions, startups, and network optimization efforts.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to improve efficiency and safety.
