Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead inbound terminal operations, coordinating a team of drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules.

You will oversee loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight, while reviewing routes for efficiency and ensuring DOT/OSHA safety standards are upheld. A degree is preferred, with strong leadership and tech aptitude valued.

Responsibilities

• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiency.
• Monitor freight in transit and assist drivers with road issues.
• Ensure KPI goals are met and maintain DOT/OSHA safety standards.

Salary ranges from:

$65,000 - $80,000 + up to 10% in bonuses

Shift time:

Monday - Friday: 4:00am - 2:00pm

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring a changing workload
• Being aware of freight that is in transit
• Assist and report issues that drivers face when they’re on the road (i.e. flat tire)
• Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
