Job summary

DNOW in Texas is seeking a Sr. Hydro Technician to lead hydro testing of pipelines, tanks, and pressure vessels. You will set up equipment, monitor tests, and document results.

The role requires reading drawings, strong mechanical aptitude, and a safety-first mindset. Travel to job sites may be required; you will work with field crews and inspectors to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Monitor pressure gauges, record readings, and identify leaks or weaknesses during testing.
  • Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports for engineering and quality teams.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations during all testing activities.
  • Collaborate with field crews, welders, and inspectors to ensure seamless testing operations.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

The Sr. Hydro Technician is responsible for hydro testing components in the manufacturing process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, valves, and pressure systems.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail under high-pressure situations.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
