Hydrostatic Technician
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-time
Day Shift
Monday-Friday
Overtime and weekends as needed
Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of hydrostatic testing, manufacturing, or related industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to safely use common hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Basic understanding of quality control procedures.
- Ability to identify part numbers, sizes, and specifications accurately.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Hydrostatic Technician to perform hydrostatic pressure testing on pressure vessels, piping, and related equipment. This role is responsible for preparing components for testing, assembling test equipment, conducting pressure tests, documenting results, and ensuring all work meets quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare vessels, piping, and components for hydrostatic testing.
- Install flanges, plugs, and other testing equipment.
- Fill vessels and piping with water and perform pressure testing to specified requirements.
- Verify proper setup and operation of testing systems.
- Produce and maintain accurate test charts and required documentation.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Communicate with inspectors during testing activities as required.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of steel properties and pressure vessel manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to work in confined or tight spaces when required.
- Must have sufficient vision, depth perception, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely perform job duties.
- Ability to access all areas of the facility safely while wearing required personal protective equipment.
