Job summary

A leading energy solutions provider is seeking a Field Mechanic to install, commission, and calibrate products at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a strong ability to communicate effectively, and the willingness to travel over 50% of the time. Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Position requires travel over 50% of the time.
• Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
• Travel over 50% of the time and weekends required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to be on call.
• Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems or electrical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for installations and training.
• Conduct field installations and calibrations.
• Perform upgrades of software and hardware.
• Communicate field failures and feedback to appropriate departments.
• Handle billing, inventory and related paperwork.
• Complete and submit field service documentation promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, commission, test, calibrate, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of DNOW products.
• Conduct field installations and calibrations of sensors and systems.
• Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.
• Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
• Billing, inventory and paperwork.
• Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma and/or equivalent.
• Oilfield, Oil and Gas, Utility, Energy or similar industry experience preferred
• 2+ years’ experience preferred
• Position requires travel over 50% of the time and the ability to work weekends
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.
• Must be able to physically lift up to 40 lbs.
• Knowledge of oil and gas field components, including software and hardware
• Willingness to be on call
• Pneumatic and hydraulic background preferred/ Electrical background preferred
