Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Human Resources Manager to join the Lighting Sector Finelite Team in Union City, CA. As part of the Division HR leadership team, your role is to provide HR Business Partnership and Thought leadership to specified functional leaders in the division. You will manage the full complement of human resource activities for those businesses. The right candidate should have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Effective coaching and strong employee relations skills are essential. You will play an integral role in supporting our business goals and objectives for increased growth. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the organization in a wide variety of HR activities including full life cycle HR support, demonstrating strategic as well as strong execution skill sets. You will lead a team of Generalists and also work as a collaborative partner with all local employees, managers, corporate HR team, and as a contributing member of the company’s HR leadership team.

What Will You Do?

1. Oversee day-to-day human resources related activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services and resolution of issues on behalf of the employees.
2. Work with the appropriate Legrand Entity staff to investigate and resolve employee relations issues as well as provide local oversight and management of wage and salary programs, health & welfare plans, performance management programs, rewards & recognition programs, and training/development opportunities and various other centralized employee programs.
3. Assure that all policies, practices, and actions comply with all applicable provisions of both Federal and State laws and Legrand policy.
4. Administer human resources services, programs, and processes to attract, develop, and retain qualified employees to meet the business requirements of the company.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field of study. MBA or Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive HR experience required, with at least five (5) years in a Business Partnership role.

• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.

• Must have the ability to get work done through others by managing and developing a team of two HR Generalists.

• In depth understanding of state (CA) and federal employment regulations.

Position Attributes:

• Maintains positive employee relations with the workforce; counsels, mentors, and problem solves with supervisors/managers and associates on matters of discipline, motivation, compensation, development, or other factors affecting success on the job.
• Responds to employee requests for information on benefits, policies, or employment matters.
• As part of the Legrand HR team, assists with the development of policies, practices and procedures as it relates to Human Resources. Communicates and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Oversees all areas of Human Resources responsibilities to assure that all federal, state, and local regulations are complied with.
• Deploys and manages workforce planning to align with business strategy.
• Collaborates to fill open positions, including professional, support, production and temporary positions as required.
• Collaborates with division HR team to enhance the employee experience efforts and to ensure individuals are effectively assimilated into the business including orientation and onboarding of new and reassigned employees.
• Manages the performance management process for the respective functions. Monitors review activity to ensure that each step in the annual performance cycle is being completed on a timely basis.
• Coaches managers and supervisors on conducting meaningful goal setting, development and performance feedback discussions.

Pay Range: $130,000-$175,000/annually
