Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to join our Dallas, TX team. The role executes HR functions at the operating company level, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and HRIS administration across multiple sites.

You will partner with managers and payroll, handle compliance (EEO/AAP, COBRA), and support training, orientation, and talent development. 5–7 years HR experience and a Bachelor's in HR are required.

  • 3 - 5 years partnering with leaders to apply HR tools to challenges.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a results-oriented environment.
  • 3 - 5 years experience with HR technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Administer HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits and policy administration.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate Open Enrollment and benefits enrollment support.
  • Partner with payroll for timely, compliant information.
  • Analyze data, produce reports, and support HR initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with EEO/AAP, COBRA and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Sr. HR Generalist to join our team in Dallas, TX.

The Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for ongoing execution and delivery of Human Resources functions at an operating company level with multiple locations. This includes employee relations, hiring, onboarding, talent management, policy administration, performance management, terminations, reporting/analytics, benefits, leave administration, EEO/ AAP, COBRA, training, orientation, HRIS Utilization and Administration at the company level, and other tasks generally performed by Human Resources at this level.

Essential Functions
  • Administer functions, including recruitment, classification review, compensation studies, employment analysis, leave and benefits administration
  • Collect and analyze data - tracks trends and developments in assigned functional areas, conducts studies, performs research and prepares reports related to HR responsibilities
  • Research, coach, and counsel managers, supervisors, and employees on employee relations matters and recommending plans of action
  • Manage and respond to unemployment claims and various regulatory/legal requirements
  • Provide management/supervisor guidance on performance improvement and disciplinary actions
  • Interpret, develop, and administer policies and procedures
  • Responsible for new hire orientation and benefits enrollment support
  • Liaison/Partner with payroll representatives to assure timely and compliant information
  • Special projects that may include: developing training programs, safety program administration, wellness programs, etc.
  • Work in conjunction to support training and development initiatives and activities
  • Provide general assistance and support to all co-workers
  • On-boarding of new co-workers
  • Coordinate Open Enrollment meetings, wellness events as well as other benefit related activities
  • Work in conjunction with Corporate, General Mangers as well as outside sources to advance recruitment and outreach activities.
  • All other duties as assigned

Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
Experience (Required)
  • 5 - 7 years experience directly in Human Resource functions.
  • 3 - 5 years experience in partnering with various department leaders to discuss challenges facing them and utilizing that experience to apply HR tools to arrive at solutions to those challenges
  • Proven ability of multi-tasking in results oriented environment
  • 3 - 5 years experience of learning and utilizing HR technologies
Experience (Preferred)
  • 1 - 3 years of experience with IFS
  • 2 - 3 years of experience with UKG
  • 2 - 3 years of Multi-Site/Multi-State responsibilities
  • HR experience in Manufacturing, Construction and/or Service organizations
  • PHR certification
Travel Requirements
  • Less than 25%

  • Limited manual dexterity required. Work requires infrequent physical effort.
