This role pairs deep platform expertise with a new technology development mandate: the Sr. Global Product Manager sets the long-term (3–5 year) vision and roadmap for their platforms, identifies and develops emerging technology and new category opportunities that deliver incremental growth beyond the established line, develops processes and best practices that may have company-wide process impact, and resolves problems before negative business impact occurs. The role reports to the Director, Global Product Management with cross-functional collaboration across the global organization to deliver successful products to launch that meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Own the global portfolio: Lead strategy, performance and lifecycle management across product lines, balancing growth of established businesses with emerging platform opportunities.
  • Set product strategy & roadmap: Develop and execute the short & long-term product strategies and 3-5 year roadmaps aligned with platform trends, customer needs, company priorities and growth objectives.
  • Drive new technology & category growth: Lead the evaluation and development of new technology and expansion category opportunities across their platforms, from emerging device ecosystems to new accessory categories to building the market sizing, business cases, and product concepts needed to secure approval and deliver growth beyond the established line.
  • Lead end-to-end product development: Own products from concept through launch and end-of-life, including requirements, business cases, product briefs, go-to-market strategies, development milestones, and launch readiness.

  • Policy & Process Development: Develops and executes processes, policies, and best practices within the Product Management function that may have company-wide process impact, from streamlining cross-departmental workflows to building new tools adopted across the organization with a long-term focus and helps establish the operating structure of a newly restructured PM team.
  • Generate market & consumer insights: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends. Analyze market trends, competition, pricing, consumer feedback, sell-through, and product performance to identify opportunities and guide portfolio decisions.

  • Product Launch: Helps plan and execute the product launch strategy, which involves coordinating with the marketing team on key activities, creating product documentation, aligning schedules, ensuring launch readiness, and training internal teams including global sales and regional PMs as well as senior leaders.
  • Product Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance and analyzes key metrics to assess success, gathering customer feedback and iterating based on data-driven insights. Work with Product Quality to evaluate feedback and make data-driven product decisions, which requires familiarity with platforms like Bazaarvoice and other post-purchase customer insights. A familiarity with all the licensed IP on their respective platforms and key knowledge of which IP is over- and under-performing in each season is a must; recognizing new IP opportunities in expansion categories is a plus.
  • Pricing & Revenue Optimization: Collaborates with pricing teams to set the right costing and pricing strategy for the product, monitoring and optimizing pricing based on market dynamics and customer feedback to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Product Evangelism: Acts as a spokesperson for the product, both internally and externally including delivering presentations, conducting demos, pitching new products to outside licensed partners.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including staying updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices and identifying at least one cross-departmental process each year to create or optimize.
