Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

The Senior GL Accountant will be responsible for daily, weekly, and month-end duties, as well as business-related activities, including vendor payment application, cash, and other balance sheet accounts analysis. This individual will also be involved in developing and improving business processes. The Senior GL Accountant must understand accounting principles and procedures and apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to various categories of assets and liabilities.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile various bank accounts, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Prepare journal entries for investments, debt, intangible assets, cash accounts, prepaids, and other current assets or liabilities, along with department allocations.
• Prepare SEC footnotes and schedules for investments and intangible assets.
• Complete monthly SOX controls and support internal auditors as needed.
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external departments.
• Ensure accounting tasks are completed within required timelines.
• Review accounting processes and procedures, make recommendations, and implement improvements with management.

• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
• Understanding of SOX practices and experience in executing controls.
• Experience working at a publicly traded company.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.

What Would Be Nice (Preferred Qualifications)

• CPA certification.
• Global experience.
• Experience with FloQast or other close management software.
• Experience contributing to SEC filings.
