Job summary

AssureSoft - Careers is looking for a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain web applications and backend services. You will build responsive frontends with React/Next.js, and craft robust Python backends and REST APIs.

Collaboration with QA, leads, and peers is essential, with emphasis on clean code and scalable design. You’ll work in a remote-friendly environment, participate in architectural discussions, and contribute to CI/CD and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services.
• Build responsive, maintainable user interfaces using React.js, Next.js, and JavaScript.
• Develop, enhance, and integrate backend services using Python.
• Build and consume APIs to support application functionality and system integrations.
• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Contribute to technical estimations and development planning.

Requirements

• Solid professional software development experience at a senior engineering level.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern web development fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and collaborative development.
• Experience applying software engineering best practices and writing maintainable code.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and Docker or containerized environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and front-end testing frameworks.
