Job summary

Cydecor, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver secure distributed software for intel missions.

You will troubleshoot defects, maintain software, and ensure security across systems, collaborating with a skilled team to meet client requirements. The role requires 6+ years in modern tech stacks, strong frontend/backend skills, and experience with Linux, Git, Jira/Confluence, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as Software Engineer developing distributed software applications using modern and open-source technologies and frameworks.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory.
• Experience with ESLint, Vuetify, Vue Composition, Vue Router, Pinia, TanStack, Axios, VitePress, and or TypeDoc.
• Deep understanding and experience developing frontend microservices.
• Strong understanding and knowledge in API best practices.
• Strong data modeling experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience developing secure software systems based upon industry specifications.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate offshoot issues
• Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
• Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements
• Efficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with other developers
• Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to achieve the best collaborative working environment
• Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
• Support grooming of user stories, breakdown development tasks and estimate level of effort

Here’s what you need

• 6+ years of experience as Software Engineer developing distributed software applications using modern and open-source technologies and frameworks


• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory


• Experience with: ESlint, Vuetify, Vue Composition, Vue Router, Pinia, TanStack, Axios, VitePress, and or TypeDoc

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in software development supporting DoD and/or IC


• Experience with frontend unit testing tools, such as Jest, Vitest, and Jasmine


• Experience with Python and Java


• Experience working withWebpack 5, Vite, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Keycloak, OAuth2, JWT, etc.


• Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, ELB, etc.) and Azure


• Familiar and used security and code quality tools like SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, and Fortify


• Has worked in a DevOps model and delivered code through CI/CD pipelines

Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret (must be able to upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Poly)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent

Work Schedule

• Hybrid, telework is optional with mandatory onsite days during implementation and testing to support onsite tasks. Must live within commuting distance of Reston.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000-190,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
