Job summary

• Experience translating operational workflows into production applications with undefined end states.
• Production deployment, monitoring, failure handling, governance, provenance, and human-review controls.

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to build, operate, and strengthen production applications on Palantir Foundry and AIP. This individual will work directly with business users, internal engineering teams, and Palantir FDEs to translate operational challenges into production data pipelines, ontology-backed workflows, Workshop applications, and AIP features. The role includes developing Python-based Foundry pipelines, ontology objects and actions, governed system integrations, and examiner-facing applications with appropriate security and audit controls. The engineer will also build AIP workflows with source provenance, evaluation, failure handling, and human confirmation for consequential actions. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who can write production code, troubleshoot complex issues, and co-develop solutions rather than waiting for completed requirements or vendor demonstrations.

Skills and Requirements

6-8 years of software engineering experience, including at least three years building production data applications, operational interfaces, or AI-assisted workflows. Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines or transforms, Ontology, Workshop, Functions, Code Repositories, actions, or security controls. Strong development skills in Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark, plus working knowledge of TypeScript or Java and REST APIs. Experience working directly with business users to translate operational workflows into production applications without relying on a fully completed specification. Experience deploying and supporting production solutions with evaluation, monitoring, failure handling, governance, provenance, and human-review controls.
