SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acquisitions Underwriting / Disposition / Market Research
- Perform cash flow and valuation analysis for potential acquisitions / developments, including complex deal structuring relating to different capital structures and sources, project schedules, and budgets for proposed senior projects.
- Stay current on markets affecting the senior living industry, especially in the regions where assets are located, including supply and demand changes.
- Compile operational performance data and benchmarking analyses.
- Conduct comparable sales analysis.
- Perform sell/hold analysis, including cash flow and valuation assessments for potential dispositions.
- Assist in organizing project due diligence processes.
- Support the financing of new investment and development projects by creating financial schedules and scenario analyses for various financing structures, collaborating closely with the President / CFO and third-party contractors such as appraisers.
- Participate in deal calls with institutional equity and development partners.
Asset Management
- Conduct key analytical duties related to a national portfolio of senior assets.
- Support analyses such as property budgeting and forecasting, property business plans and valuations, payback analysis of environmental initiatives, lease analysis, and other ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Participate in monthly/quarterly update calls with institutional equity and development partners.
- Lead ongoing improvements to financial reporting processes and databases.
- Identify opportunities for value enhancement within the portfolio.
- Assist with overall portfolio management responsibilities.
Qualifications
Relevant Skills

- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience as an analyst within a real estate development group, investment group, or management company; senior living experience is preferred.
- Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Educational / Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, or healthcare, with strong academic performance.
This is a fully remote position, though preference will be given to candidates located in Los Angeles, San Francisco / Silicon Valley, or Denver.
