Job summary

BrightEdge, a leading enterprise SEO and content performance platform, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to partner with cross‑functional teams and executive leadership to drive strategic planning, SaaS analytics, forecasting accuracy, and informed decision‑making.

The ideal candidate has deep SaaS modeling experience, mastery of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, NRR, CAC, LTV), and a proven ability to build scalable dashboards while communicating insights across the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Financial Analytics roles.
  • Strong experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong SaaS metrics and subscription economics knowledge.
  • Experience with large datasets and BI/reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience with ERP/FP&A tools such as NetSuite/Adaptive/Anaplan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting across functions.
  • Develop and maintain SaaS financial models for revenue, ARR, bookings, and cash flow planning.
  • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning exercises.
  • Analyze actuals vs. forecast and provide actionable variance insights.
  • Own and analyze SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, NRR, GRR, CAC, LTV, payback).
  • Build KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks for executives.
  • Partner with GTM, CS, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Ops on strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in board/investor reporting and strategic investments evaluation.
  • Improve FP&A reporting automation and data integrity across systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our growing finance organization. This role will partner closely with cross-functionalstakeholders and executive leadership to drive strategic financial planning, SaaS businessanalysis, forecasting accuracy, and operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in SaaS financial modeling, recurring revenueanalytics, and KPI-driven business performance management in a high-growth technologyenvironment.

How you'll spend you time:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes across business functions.
  • Develop and maintain robust SaaS financial models for revenue, ARR, bookings,headcount, operating expenses, and cash flow planning.
  • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning exercises.
  • Analyze actuals vs. forecast and provide variance insights with actionablerecommendations
SaaS Metrics & Business Analytics
  • Own and analyze key SaaS performance metrics including:
    • ARR / MRR
    • Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
    • Gross Revenue Retention (GRR)
    • CAC
    • LTV
    • CAC Payback Period
    • Churn & Expansion Metrics
    • Gross Margin & Unit Economics
  • Build scalable KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks for executive leadership.
  • Conduct cohort analysis, customer profitability analysis, and scenario modeling.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
  • Partner with GTM, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide insights on revenue trends, pipeline performance, sales productivity, and investment efficiency.
  • Support board reporting, investor reporting, and executive presentations.
  • Assist in evaluating strategic investments, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency opportunities.
Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Improve financial reporting automation and data integrity across systems.
  • Drive process optimization initiatives within FP&A workflows.
  • Collaborate with Accounting during month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data.
We're excited about you if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or CA preferred.
  • 3–4 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Financial Analytics roles.
  • Strong experience working within a SaaS or subscription-based business model is mandatory.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and subscription economics.
  • Experience working with large datasets and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills required.
  • Experience with ERP and FP&A tools such as NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience supporting US-based finance teams and leadership stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable working across global teams and time zones.
  • Experience in enterprise B2B SaaS environments preferred
