Sr Field Service Technician, Conveyor Systems, 3rd shift

Join us at Honeywell as a Sr Field Service Technician, Conveyor Systems, 3rd shift. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring successful solution implementation. You will work out of Houston, TX, reporting to the Field Service Engineering Manager, with a focus on enhancing customer operations' efficiency, safety, and productivity.

Shift: Night shift (4pm to 2:30am), Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for customers.
• Provide expert support for Industrial Automation solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth implementation.
• Lead training sessions for customers and technicians.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and suggest improvements.
• Perform maintenance on PLC systems, sensors, motors, inverters, control panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
• Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Use CMMS to report work orders and breakdown data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of Material Handling Equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, and ASRS.
• Adjust and maintain scanners, cameras, field buses, and printers.
• Replace and repair belts, chains, cables, and wear parts.
• Calibrate and clean equipment as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience or education in Material Handling Equipment, conveyors, or mechanical troubleshooting/maintenance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical skills in Industrial Automation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Customer-focused with good relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or college degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Experience with conveyor system maintenance.
• Mentorship skills and industry knowledge.
• Familiarity with Honeywell Intelligrated Conveyor Systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and motor controls troubleshooting.
• Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and lifts.
