Job summary

Vertech is seeking an experienced automation professional to install and commission industrial control panels, perform field start-up, and troubleshoot equipment on-site. The role involves working with motor control, VFDs, PLCs, and HMI systems to ensure successful deployments at client sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automation, instrumentation education, and a strong track record in field service, commissioning, and PLC/HMI programming.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in instrumentation is required.
• Experience in wiring, commissioning, and start-up of industrial control panels.
• 5+ years in industrial components and automation environments.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission industrial control panels including motor control, VFDs, soft starters, and PLCs.
• Provide field equipment start-up and on-site support.
• Troubleshoot industrial equipment and PLC/HMI software for various applications.
• Edit PLC code and troubleshoot HMI screens as needed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Installation of industrial control panels including Motor control, variable frequency drives, soft starters, primary logic controllers, radio survey, and special and unique industrial equipment to name a few.
• Provide field equipment start-up.
• Troubleshoot of industrial equipment recently installed or existing.
• Troubleshoot and edit PLC code for various applications
• Troubleshoot and HMI screens

What You Need for this Position

• Post-secondary education in instrumentation
• Associate degree or certification in a related field
• Must have 5 years or more prior experience in the field working on industrial components.
