Job summary

King's Insurance Staffing is seeking a Sr. Field Production Underwriter to join our Southeast team. This fully remote position collaborates with brokers to price and negotiate terms for commercial insurance, with occasional travel across the Eastern Georgia region.

Qualified candidates should reside in GA or SC. Responsibilities include underwriting primary casualty non-admitted business, building agency relationships, analyzing risk, and setting terms and premiums to meet profitability goals.

Our client, an A+ rated Insurance Carrier, is looking to add a Sr. Field Production Underwriter to their Southeast team. This person will work closely with brokers and agents to assess, price, and negotiate terms for various commercial insurance products, ensuring a profitable and balanced portfolio. This role requires strong marketing / sales, underwriting, customer service skills, deep market knowledge, and the ability to think creatively as it pertains to non-admitted business. This is a fully remote position (with occasional travel throughout the Eastern Georgia region). Qualified candidates should reside in GA or SC.

• Handle the underwriting processes for primary casualty non-admitted business.


• Selling and soliciting of business across within the territory to build a strong, diverse agency relationship.


• Analyze and evaluate the risk in insurance proposals.


• Approves, declines, modifies, negotiates, and prices mid-sized and larger accounts to achieve profitability and written premium goals within a territory and to minimize financial peril to the company


• Determine policy terms and calculate premiums based on risk while adhering to company guidelines.


• Utilize underwriting knowledge to educate and train agents on our underwriting guidelines, commercial lines products, coverages, and computer systems


• Develop and maintain professional relationships with brokers and clients.


• Stay updated with changes in the market and factors affecting risk.

Requirements:

• 4+ plus year of Commercial Casualty Underwriting experience, E&S primary casualty experience is a plus


• Prefer candidate to reside in or willing to relocate to Georgia or South Carolina


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Bachelor's Degree is strongly desired.

Salary/Benefits:

• $130,000 to $160,000+ annual base salary (depending on experience) plus 20 - 40% Annual Bonus
