This position will be remote with a strong preference to be hired in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Optiv + ClearShark is seeking a Sr. Federal Compliance Consultant to join the Federal Advisory team. The role involves working with federal and commercial clients on cybersecurity compliance, leading advisory engagements, developing advisory services, and supporting sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead federal compliance engagements, guiding clients to improve their business processes.
  2. Conduct engagements per scope and standards.
  3. Mentor junior consultants and ensure quality deliverables.
  4. Engage with clients to understand their requirements and develop compliance strategies.
  5. Assess client compliance posture and recommend remediation.
  6. Manage engagement issues and escalate as needed.
  7. Produce high-quality deliverables responsive to client needs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and monitor engagement activities.
  2. Develop client relationships and lead pre-sales discussions.
  3. Maintain certifications and mentor junior staff.
  4. Contribute to thought leadership and stay updated on compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of identity management, incident response, networking security, and zero trust.
  • Experience with governance and compliance standards like FAR, DFARs, RMF, FCI, CUI, CMMC.
  • Understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.
  • Certifications like CISA, CISSP, CMMC RP/RPA/CCA/CCP are highly desirable.
  • Leadership skills, excellent communication, problem-solving, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Salary Range:

$134,600 - $184,500 annually. Compensation includes salary and potential bonuses.
