Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Technical Senior to lead engineering operations and direct technicians, vendors, and subcontractors. The role involves ensuring preventive maintenance, repairs, and adherence to safety standards across building systems.

The position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on supporting, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Candidates should have 2–3 years of related experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to handle physical requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of related experience.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Experience using standard procedures to solve routine problems.
• Experience analyzing information to make judgments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Moderate math skills for percentages and fractions.

As a CBRE Technical Sr., you will be responsible for engineering operations and the direction of technicians, vendors, and subcontractors.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Review work orders and resolve complex issues.
• Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
• Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
• Inspect the work performed by staff members.
• Determine that work is complete, equipment is fully functional and client space is in prime working condition.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
