Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a Sr. Export Specialist to process shipments for an assigned base of accounts, coordinating with clients, carriers, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare documentation, file SEDs, track cargo, quote rates and ensure accurate billing while maintaining excellent client service and compliance with export regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize

Qualifications

  • Experience with export documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and carriers.
  • Strong organization and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 4 years related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations.
  • File SEDs (Shippers Export Declarations).
  • Track and trace cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery.
  • Provide accounting with correct billing information.
  • Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding shipment routing, pricing, and rates.

Job description

The Sr. Export Specialist is responsible for processing shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. Contacts with clients, carriers and potential clients on a daily basis. Proactive in providing quality client service.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations.
  • File SED's (Shippers Export Declarations)
  • Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.
  • Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
  • Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e., tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations).
  • Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
  • Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for client satisfaction and ensure excellent service execution.
  • Seek the most profitable mode of shipment yet meet client's requirement for the movement of freight.
  • Other duties as assigned
Other Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of the Import/Export industry preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate (verbally and intuitively) effectively with both clients and internal personnel.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be career-oriented, hard-working, quick learner and have excellent recall for past events/situations/numbers.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers Education and Experience
  • Ability to handle pressure and responsibility in a fast-paced environment, in a timely and affective manner.
  • Good client service skill and ability to handle dual tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 4 years related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred.
