Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Senior EWP Area Sales Manager to drive field sales of engineered wood products across Florida and neighboring states. You will partner with builders, distributors and contractors to promote Boise Cascade EWP, develop pricing strategies, and deliver technical support and training.

The role emphasizes market analysis, demand generation, and collaboration with supply chain partners to maximize field impact. Extensive travel is required to cover the Florida region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field.
• Experience in engineered wood products sales into residential construction markets.
• Knowledge of I-joists and LVL in residential/multi-family construction.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Builders to create primary demand for Boise Cascade EWP and pull business through the supply chain.
• Create business plans that focus on leveraging the value proposition of Boise Cascade EWP and supply chain partners.
• Develop and present marketing plans to business managers and owners.
• Establish optimal pricing based on in-depth analysis of competitive and market data.
• Provide technical support to wholesale and retail distributors.
• Conduct technical training seminars for contractors, architects and code enforcement personnel and teaching professional selling and presentation skills to lumber industry sales and management personnel.

Description

The territory for this position is Florida, southern Alabama, southern Mississippi, and southeastern Louisiana. The Senior EWP Area Sales Manager is responsible for engineered wood products field sales, customer service/satisfaction, training, communication, and technical representation to customers including but not limited to:

• Work directly with Builders to create primary demand for Boise Cascade EWP and pull business through the supply chain.
• Create business plans that focus on leveraging the value proposition of Boise Cascade EWP and supply chain partners.
• Develop and present marketing plans to business managers and owners.
• Establish optimal pricing based on in-depth analysis of competitive and market data.
• Provide technical support to wholesale and retail distributors.
• Conduct technical training seminars for contractors, architects and code enforcement personnel and teaching professional selling and presentation skills to lumber industry sales and management personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

• College Degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function.
• Experience in engineered wood products and/or other related wood products sales into residential construction markets.
• Understand application of engineered wood products and basic understanding of design loads and other criteria with the ability and desire to learn are critical to success.
• Knowledge of proper use of I-joists and LVL in residential and multi-family construction and/or a strong desire to learn the business.
• Must have strong customer service orientation and track record to establish and maintain relationships with buyers, distributors and end-users.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer more than 7 years of experience in related job function.
• The successful candidate will have good people perception, good interaction and communication skills, tenacity and decision-making abilities.

Salary range for this role is $96,000 - $144,000 DOE
