About The Role & Team:

Are you interested in planning events at the most magical place on Earth? As a Senior Event Services Manager with the Walt Disney Company, you will prioritize and arrange all logistical aspects of large and complex conventions and events, from planning, Banquet Event Order preparation, to onsite execution. You will act as the primary point of contact for our convention clients, guiding them through the event planning process and the onsite Walt Disney World experience. This role involves collaboration across Resorts, Convention Centers, Theme Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Water Parks, and Disney Springs. Effective collaboration, organization, communication, multi-tasking, and guest service are vital, along with customizing and selling Walt Disney World experiences.

You will gain unique Disney experience by collaborating with multiple partners and mentoring team members. You will report to the Event Services Director. This is a full-time position.

What You Will Do:

• Work with high-value Group and Convention clients to plan and execute their events across Walt Disney World Resorts and Parks, focusing on long-term legacy clients and high-level Disney relationships.

• Manage contracts, room blocks, F&B, A/V, entertainment, theme park events, tickets, transportation, and logistics.

• Forecast financials at a team level.

• Develop partnerships and mentor team members including Event Services Managers, Coordinators, and Assistants.

• Service both internal and external clients with a high level of complexity, maintaining knowledge of all Walt Disney World products and services.

• Approach problems creatively to achieve desired outcomes.

• Maintain flexibility in scheduling; Event Services operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of event planning experience, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment.

• At least 2 years of senior leadership experience.

• Recent hospitality experience in a group convention setting.

• Proven experience working with Disney leaders or C-suite clients.

• Experience orchestrating events across multiple resorts for sophisticated groups.

• Strategic understanding of business objectives and client goals.

• Proactive in anticipating challenges and providing tailored solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Walt Disney World procedures and venues.

• Experience leading planning sessions and timelines.

• Understanding of Entertainment business.

• Knowledge of convention contract management.

• Experience with large convention spaces (500+ rooms, 100,000+ sq ft).

• Multi-resort complex experience.

• Membership in professional industry organizations.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).
