Job summary

B&B Concrete in Lexington, KY is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan infrastructure projects from bid through handoff. You will develop accurate estimates for water and wastewater facilities, perform takeoffs, analyze risk, and coordinate with operations and project management to set up projects for successful execution.

The role requires knowledge of self-performed work, constructability and sequencing, and familiarity with concrete construction methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout after award.
• Collaborate with operations to set projects up for successful execution.

We are looking for an experiencedWater/Wastewater Estimator to join our team. You'll play a key role in pursuing and planning water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing accurate, competitive estimates and partnering closely with operations and project management from bid through project handoff.

We're looking for someone who understands water/wastewater construction and self-performed work and can evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost—not just perform takeoffs.

What You'll Do:

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.

What You Bring:
