Job summary

Trueline Talent's client, an established civil utilities contractor serving the Arizona market, is seeking a Senior Estimator - Underground Wet Utilities to join their team in a fully remote role.

Remote work is available for Arizona residents who can visit project sites as needed. The position focuses on underground water, sewer and storm utility estimates, detailed takeoffs with PlanSwift, and bid strategy using HCSS HeavyBid, with mentorship and growth toward Chief Estimator.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in underground wet utilities or closely related civil utility construction.
• Strong experience estimating water, sewer, and other wet underground utility scopes.
• Background working for a civil utilities contractor rather than primarily plumbing or landscaping contractors.
• Ability to independently develop estimates and bids, not just perform takeoffs.
• Strong understanding of civil construction costs, quantities, production, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Must reside in Arizona and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and competitive bids for civil underground wet utility projects.
• Estimate water, sewer, storm drain, and related underground utility scopes.
• Review plans and specifications and evaluate quantities, labor, equipment, materials, production rates, and project requirements.
• Perform and oversee detailed takeoffs using PlanSwift.
• Build and manage estimates using HCSS HeavyBid.
• Apply knowledge of the Arizona civil construction market to pricing, project selection, and bid strategy.
• Partner with project management, field leadership, ownership, and the estimating team to support projects from bid through handoff.
• Mentor and develop a junior team member who is currently focused primarily on takeoffs.
• Take on increasing leadership responsibility with the opportunity to grow into the Chief Estimator role.

Trueline's client, an established civil utilities contractor serving the Arizona market, is seeking a Senior Estimator - Underground Wet Utilities to join their team in a fully remote role. This is an opportunity for an experienced civil estimator to take ownership of underground wet utility bids, work with a close-knit team, and grow toward the Chief Estimator role as the company plans for the future.

This position is remote, but candidates must live in Arizona and be able to visit project sites as needed.

What You'll Do as the Senior Estimator - Underground Wet Utilities:

Our Client Offers:

• Base salary of $120,000-$165,000, depending on experience.
• Discretionary bonus opportunity, historically ranging approximately $20,000-$42,000, with plans to move toward a profitability-based performance structure.
