The Premier Group in Kenner, LA is seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator to support large industrial construction projects valued from $40M to $500M.

The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates from drawings and specs, with a strong emphasis on preconstruction through change management, and collaboration with planning and scheduling teams. Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and material takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Review project documents and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze scope changes and price change orders.
• Provide labor-hour and cost data to engineering, planning, and scheduling teams.
• Support project change management from start to finish.
• Evaluate risks and opportunities during bid prep.

Location: Kenner, LA (Primarily Office-Based)

Base Salary: $90,000 - $135,000+ (depending on experience) plus annual bonus

Our client, one of the nation's leading electrical and instrumentation contractors and a subsidiary of a publicly traded Fortune 500 organization, is seeking two Sr. Estimators to join their growing team in Kenner, Louisiana. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex industrial projects ranging from $40M to $500M across multiple markets including oil & gas, petrochemical, midstream, renewable energy, and infrastructure.

Position Overview

The Sr. Estimator will play a critical role in developing accurate cost estimates for large industrial electrical construction projects. This position requires strong technical estimating skills, the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and experience supporting projects from preconstruction through change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and material takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
• Review project documents and develop detailed cost estimates
• Analyze scope changes and prepare pricing for change orders
• Provide labor-hour and cost information to engineering, planning, and scheduling teams
• Support project change management from initiation through completion
• Evaluate project risks and opportunities during bid preparation
• Assist with purchasing and project tracking initiatives after award
• Deliver accurate estimates while working within aggressive bid schedules
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and estimating standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of estimating experience, with 5+ years preferred
• At least 3 years of electrical construction experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Self-starter with strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates with Accubid or similar estimating platforms will also be considered
• Industrial construction experience in: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Midstream, Energy Infrastructure
• Field electrical construction experience
• Renewable energy or data center project experience is a major plus
• Office-based position located in Kenner, LA
• Typical schedule: 40-50 hours per week
• Monday-Friday, generally 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Flexible start/end times with approximately 30 minutes of scheduling flexibility
• Travel is minimal and typically limited to 1-2 trips per year

Base Salary: $90,000 - $135,000+ (depending on experience)
