Job summary

Marucci Sports LLC is seeking a Business Central Specialist responsible for enhancing customer service and internal support. You will be the primary liaison between the business and IT teams, with a focus on documenting requirements and providing user training. Ideal candidates have a BS/BA degree and extensive experience with Dynamics NAV or Business Central.

The role involves managing the request backlog, troubleshooting issues, and gathering requirements in a fast-paced environment. You will also assist in evaluating new technologies to improve business processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central.
• Experience in Agile project methodology is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading the company’s internal efforts to provide excellent customer service to internal users and making steady improvements to Business Central (BC). It is the primary liaison between the business and information technology teams by supporting business requests, serving as an internal consultant, documenting requirements and processes, being an internal NAV subject‑matter expert, training end‑users, and providing go‑live support on projects and planned releases.

Job Duties

• Serve as a point‑of‑contact and subject‑matter‑expert (SME) for the business teams.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and respond to issues and risks through the BC request backlog and by analyzing the system independently.
• Conduct requirement analysis, mapping, planning, and authoring user stories.
• Manage the BC request backlog for new improvements to BC.
• Troubleshoot day‑to‑day matters reported by the business and IT teams.
• Test all new functionality and changes before handing them to the end user for acceptance testing.
• Review and respond to support requests within the Jira ticketing platform.
• Author test cases and test application changes and enhancements before passing them to the end user for additional testing.
• Request additional information from users to provide a solution or to elevate the request to a development resource for further assistance.
• Identify and recommend improvements to systems or processes.
• Provide user training as needed for new users, new functionality, or existing functionality that is not being fully utilized.
• Assist in the evaluation of new plug‑ins and technologies to satisfy requirements.
• Work closely with the BC team on all projects and support requests.

Requirements & Skills

• Deep knowledge and understanding of Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with a company subject to SOX compliance requirements (preferred).
• Experience in Jira and Confluence (preferred).
• Experience working in an Agile project methodology (preferred).
• Experience working in information technology and business teams (preferred).
• Experience with inter‑company/consolidation companies and multi‑currency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to proactively communicate with leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical personnel at various organizational levels.
• Self‑motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with multiple companies and environments (development, test, production, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, often with competing objectives.
• Ability to function well in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Education & Experience

BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably in a professional services or management consulting firm. Accounting/finance degree or accounting experience preferred. 4+ years of experience in Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central. Experience with Beck/Aptean ISV products, Chargelogic, Intelitax, EDI, or Generix Solochain WMS (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
